Florelee R. Wan – Conference Co-Chair and Social and Communications Subcommittee Lead
Florelee R. Wan is an Associate with Wong Fleming, P.C. in its Princeton, New Jersey office. Ms. Wan joins Wong Fleming with over nine years of experience in all areas of commercial litigation, concentrating her practice in insurance defense, products liability and employment law. She is a talented litigator and trial attorney, having worked on the successful defense of over six products liability trials over her career. Additionally, Ms. Wan has been an active member of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Associate of New Jersey (APALA-NJ) and is currently serving as Secretary to the APALA-NJ Executive Board & Co-Chair of the 2012 NAPABA Eastern Super Regional Conference Committee. Recently, she was elected to serve as President-Elect of APALA-NJ for the 2012-2013 term.
Ms. Wan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 1998. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2002 and was admitted to practice law in New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She served as a judicial intern to The Honorable David G. Trager of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 2001. Prior to joining Wong Fleming in 2011, Ms. Wan practiced in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance defense with a firm in Paramus, New Jersey from 2007 to 2011 and was associated with a products liability defense firm in Woodbridge, New Jersey from 2003 through 2007.
In addition to APALA-NJ, Ms. Wan is also a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Jury Selection in Civil and Criminal Trials, New Jersey State Bar Association, Monmouth County Bar Association and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’/Debtors’ Rights Committee. Ms. Wan is active in the community and presently serves as a Deacon for the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan. She is the former Acting Municipal Chair and currently serves on the Municipal Committee of Matawan. Ms. Wan previously served as Co-Chair of APALA-NJ’s 4th Annual Golf Outing in 2009 and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee in 2010.
